Gothenburg has been good to me.
It is a cozy little town, pretending to be a big town, yet not quite there, pulled down by the limited inhabitant number, the modest appearance and the inferiority complex towards big brother Stockholm. Yet, it has a vibe that Stockholm lacks – it is more mellow and has far more quirky, fun alternative people than I have ever seen in Stockholm. It is to Stockholm what San Francisco is to New York. Except for the tech scene. You probably want to seek out Stockholm for that.
While admittedly (those who know me well knows this) the first couple of months in Gothenburg were hard on me, having left my favorite city and some of the best people in the whole world behind – it didn’t take me long to dive in, find my people and start building my little life in Gothenburg. This cozy little town has definitely grown on me and found its way into my heart!
However, it is time to say goodbye to the city of the broken umbrellas and all its wonderful people. As of today, we no longer have an apartment here.
None mentioned, none forgotten – those of you who’ve had an impact on my life know who you are. Please know that I’ll miss you dearly. Until next time!
Now, off to new adventures!
It’s a dangerous business, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don’t keep your feet, there’s no telling where you might be swept off to.

And you will be missed. Wish you happy new adventures. “Thank you for the Music”. Love you!
